Sofa condition doesn't matter. We take spilled-on, torn, sun-bleached, and pet-damaged sofas without extra charge. Bed-bug or heavy-mould cases — please tell us upfront so the crew brings appropriate PPE and wrap.
How sofa removal works in a typical HK flat
Most Hong Kong doorways are 800–900mm wide. A 3-seater sofa is usually 1900mm long and won't fit around the interior corner of a typical flat. Our crew's default process:
- Assess the sofa in your flat, remove cushions and any covers you want to keep.
- Move the sofa to the landing outside your front door.
- Lay down protective sheets so the corridor stays clean.
- Dismantle the frame using hand tools — remove arms, cut fabric bindings if needed, separate the base from the back.
- Carry down (walk-up) or use the service lift (if allowed by building management).
- Sweep the corridor. Load into the truck. Done.
A typical single sofa takes 15–30 minutes end-to-end. L-shapes take 20–40 minutes. Two-person crew is standard.

Where your sofa goes
Sofas in good structural condition can be routed to Salvation Army, Crossroads Foundation, or St Barnabas' Society for reupholstery or direct reuse. Tell us at booking if you'd like the sofa donated — we'll bring the paperwork. Sofas beyond repair go through the EPD's landfill diversion streams where possible; the frame timber and metal springs are separated for recovery, and the foam is processed via the Community Recycling Network.

How do you remove a sofa that doesn't fit through the door?
Most Hong Kong 3-seaters and L-shapes don't fit through the front door in one piece. Our crew dismantles the sofa on the landing outside your unit using protective sheets to keep the corridor clean, carries down the panels, and sweeps the area before leaving. Dismantling is included in the quoted price.
Can you take a sofa from a walk-up building?
Yes. Walk-up tenements are one of our most common jobs. Tell us the floor number and staircase width — we quote the flight charge upfront so there are no surprises when the crew arrives.
What if my sofa has bed bugs or is very dirty?
We handle sofas in any condition. Please tell us upfront so the crew brings appropriate PPE and wrapping to prevent cross-contamination. There is no extra charge for standard soiling — we've seen everything.
Do you recycle the sofa?
Where possible we route sofas to the EPD's Community Recycling Network or local charities (Salvation Army, Crossroads, St Barnabas' Society) for reupholstery. Sofas in good condition can be donated on your behalf if you request it in writing at booking.

Usually yes. Booking before noon almost always secures a same-day slot. Same-day service runs 08:00–22:00 every day including Sundays and public holidays.
