Why TV disposal is regulated in Hong Kong
Televisions contain leaded glass (older CRTs), mercury (backlights on some LCDs), and rare-earth elements worth recovering. Under the WEEE producer-responsibility scheme, all TVs must be processed at Hong Kong's WEEE·PARK facility in Tuen Mun via a licensed operator. Landfill disposal is prohibited.
Wall-mount removal
Renters and homeowners preparing to move often want the TV gone plus the bracket removed and drywall patched. Standard package includes:
- Safe dismount from the wall bracket (two-person for 55"+)
- Bracket removal from wall studs or expansion anchors
- Filler and light sanding to prep the wall for paint
- Take-away of all removed hardware
Bracket removal + patch is a separate quote line item — tell us at booking.

Is TV disposal regulated in Hong Kong?
Yes. Televisions are one of the regulated 四電一腦 under HK's WEEE producer-responsibility scheme and must go through a licensed operator.
Can you take a wall-mounted TV?
Yes. Our crew arrives with a screwdriver kit and safely dismounts wall-hung TVs of any size, from 32" up to 85". Bracket removal and drywall patching also available.
Do you take old CRT televisions?
Yes. Old CRT and rear-projection televisions are heavy (30–50 kg) and contain leaded glass and phosphors — they must go through the WEEE·PARK stream. We handle them safely with two-person carry.
What about the remote and cables?
We take them along with the TV. Cables and connectors are separated for material recovery at WEEE·PARK.
